Gene Hoglan and Devin Townsend are both perfect examples. I've seen a few videos of Hoglan drumming and am always in awe. The only thing that moves faster than his hands is his stomach jiggling back and forth. And on numerous occasions, when I've shown people music videos of SYL or brought it up in conversation, I've gotten the response of, 'That ugly fucker?' About 3/4 of the time, they dismiss the song without listening because he's ugly.
