Hey buddy, I threw together a bit of a reply to your post today. It's long -be warned- but it starts and ends with this video and the content you mentioned. Who knows, it might start some discourse.
When I first saw the comment about using the word 'hippie' a lot, I was at the ready to quote the South Park episode about hippies, since nothing says it better. But then you completely turned it around by not making it about hippies. I agree with the point, as usual though. My Mormon friend from work is also a pretty conservative guy and owns more than a few guns. We talk politics a lot and, while I side with you in that I would never own and don't plan on ever shooting a gun, I'd never restrict his right to own them. It just doesn't make sense. The whole idea that people shouldn't be given choices has always baffled me.
